Anger Management Program:
OHS provides Adult Anger Management Education for people who want, or have been referred by the court or other agency, to learn how to deal with their anger in a positive functional way. The program consists of six (6) 2 hour sessions, totaling 12 hours. Contact OHS to find out about dates, times and fees.

Alcohol and Drug Assessments (ASI):
At OHS California State-Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors administer the ASI Assessment. The assessment typically takes about an hour. Within minutes of an assessment, OHS can create a personalized report for you, or your clients.

OHS administers a reliable, industry-standard substance abuse assessment. The ASI identifies clients’ unique needs and helps him or her return to health. The ASI can reveal if problems exist in Family History, Employment, Mental Health, Medical, Substance Abuse, Psychiatric and Legal whether they warrant attention during treatment.

DMV Admin Per Se:
You can enroll in the OHS-DUI Program prior to your court date. By using the DMV Admin Per Se form (it is a pink 30-day temporary drivers license) to be on your way obtaining a restricted license.

Youthful Offender Program (STAR):

The Survival Towards Adulthood Referral (STAR) program is a youthful offender visitation program, ages 18-24, designed by OHS and the North San Diego County Court in accordance with AB 1400 for the purposes of educating the younger alcohol/drug offender about the real life consequences of using drugs and alcohol.

STAR Program Components:
• Initial intake/assessment to explore the client’s relationship with alcohol and drugs, using the ASI. Family history, employment and life style hazards are explored to help identify the impact drugs or alcohol use may have on the client.
• Attend a MADD Impact Panel sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
• Final Group/Exit designed to process the impact of the STAR Program with each other and the STAR program director. Each client will be required to write an essay on what they have learned during the STAR program.

OHS accepts referrals from the courts, other agencies, or individuals.
